Mina Passes with Flying Colors!!!!
Mina and her mom had their first routine visit from a Home Health nurse who went over some questions and concerns mom had and to record Mina's progress. Mina passed with flying colors. She now weighs 9.06 lbs a weight gain of almost 1 lb. Her color is good, she has a healthy appetite and Desiree is showing her "mom instincts" with her good questions and reasonable concerns. Mina 's weight gain is a relieve to mom and dad. On her first doctor visit she had lost enough ounces for the doctor to express his concern. The doctor's hunch was the baby would start gaining as soon as the breast milk came in - yet it remained a concern for the parents.
Take a look at some of the pictures from that visit and the fun tummy time baby and mom had. For eleven days old, Mina is alert, inquisitive and has an amiable temperment. She is a good baby!
